To my eyes familiar with African, Australian, New Zealand and European birds they are quite different with completely different families so very challenging to try and identify in the field even with a Field Guide. We&nbsp;were very lucky to have a morning at <a title=\"Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Costanera_Sur_Ecological_Reserve\" target=\"_blank\">Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve<\/a> with Marcelo Gavensky of <a title=\"Birding Buenos Aires\" href=\"http:\/\/www.birdingbuenosaires.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Birding Buenos Aires<\/a> &nbsp;and saw a large number of new species and managed some reasonable pictures. I must confess the greatest excitement for me were the Hummingbirds of which we saw 2 species. The new <a title=\"South American Birds\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tonywhitehead.com\/wildlight\/galleries\/birds\/south-american-birds\/\">South American Birds gallery<\/a> only has Beunos Aires birds at present but some Patagonian species will be added when I get to process images from the Beagle Channel.
