{"id":729,"date":"2013-01-28T15:50:19","date_gmt":"2013-01-28T02:50:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tonywhitehead.com\/wildlight\/?p=729"},"modified":"2013-01-28T19:18:19","modified_gmt":"2013-01-28T06:18:19","slug":"dipherent-cafe-murupara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tonywhitehead.com\/wildlight\/archives\/729","title":{"rendered":"DiPHerenT Cafe &#8211; Murupara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the way to one of our fishing spots in the bush we pass Murupara, a small timber town with a reputation for being a bit down at heel.\u00a0Last time past I had noticed a new cafe next to the main road and this time the timing was right for an early lunch so we stopped in at the DiPHerenT cafe, a tiny slip of a place on the edge of what looks like an old abandoned workshop. Christine, the owner, was very helpful and welcoming, taking our order for coffee and a couple of her home-made pies with salad. She offered plenty of advice about surrounding activities and sites and would be a great resource for travelers to the area. The pies were great with excellent filling (bacon and egg for me and Edin had a steak pie which had a lovely mustard gravy which made me regret my choice). The salads were amazing &#8211; loads of fresh tomato and avocado with celery and freshly picked garlic chives and thyme from a herbs in pot, topped with balsamic dressing.
