With the new firmware update the X100 now has a number of improvements that bring it closer to it&#8217;s replacement. Start-up time, focus speed, closer focus before having to engage macro mode, improved manual focus with focus peaking &#8211; it&#8217;s like getting a new camera for free! I had been tempted by the X100s but wasn&#8217;t prepared to trade off the ninjaness of my black X100 as the new one is only available in the retro-Leica silver and black.<\/p>\n<p>While this could be seen as a poor marketing move by Fuji it is an industry-leading way of cultivating brand loyalty.
