Heading North along the western edge of Spitsbergen toward the pack ice we encountered some variable conditions, one of which was a period of calm and very still water. This gave some opportunities for some different images and textures.
Taking multiple images is a good strategy as the lines of the water and shapes of the reflections vary continually and some work well while others look deformed
Generally when processing images I tend to enhance contrast in the subject and reduce it in the background but with images like this where the textures and lines of the surrounding area are a feature it can be better to accentuate that with increased contrast too.
